New Delhi World Book Fair 2023 Concludes Successfully 


The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) 2023 successfully concluded on 05 March 2023. The NDWBF, a much awaited annual calendar event for booklovers, returned in its physical format after two years after the pandemic and saw a tremendous response from exhibitors and visitors alike.

The Fair was inaugurated on 25 February 2023 by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, Government of India, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, in the presence of H.E. Mr Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India, Mr Vincent Montagne, President, Syndicat National de L’Edition, France, Ms Annie Ernaux, Nobel Laureate, France, Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director, ITPO, Smt. Saumya Gupta, Joint Secretary, NIT and Shri Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT-India. A Stamp to commemorate the 50-year journey of New Delhi World Book Fair 2023 (the first World Book Fair was organised in 1972) was also launched to mark the grand event.

The theme for NDWBF 2023 was Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, with special focus on G-20 and NEP 2020. Over 1000+ speakers and moderators from India and abroad participated in more than 400 interactive sessions, panel discussions, more than 250 book launches, international dialogues and cultural performances in the course of 9 days of the fair.

With more than 2000 stalls, both Indian and foreign, more than 10 lakh visitors were spoilt for choice as they browsed and purchased their favourite books.
