Hyderabad : The excitement and curiosity is on the rise as The SFA Championship, Hyderabad 2022 is gearing up to host the finals with the same energy and vigor concluding on the 22nd of October. Some brilliant performances took place from the last 12 days of the energetic championship.
In the chess tournaments, 3 schools won in the U15 category boys, namely Vista International School, Pranav Waldorf School and AVN Vida International School, all scoring 7 points in total. In the U15, category girls, the 3 winners were, 21K School with a total of 6 points Little flower high school, Uppal and Indus International School, Shankarpally by scoring 5 points each. The U19 category boys winners announced were DAV Public School,Kukatpally, Slate The School – ABIDS and Chirec International School, CBSE with 5 and 4, 4 points respectively.
Kabaddi tournament, U14 category for girls was won by Vignan Bo Tree School went against L.M.G Smart International School and the fromer won with an impressive score of 59-15. Second another win for Vignan Bo Tree School in the U19 category boys where they defeated Page Educational Society with a score of 53-50.
In the basketball tournament, U11 category girls, The Rockwell School won against Sancta Maria School scoring 21-10. In the boys category it was Delhi Public School Khajaguda which won the match against The Future Kid’s School.
In the U14 category girls, Kho-Kho, Ravi Brilliant High School (Katedhan) won against Vignan Bo Tree School and the boys category was also won by Ravi Brilliant High School.
In swimming U18 category boys, Individual Medley, 200M, the gold medal was bagged by B. Soni Nihar representing Surya Global School, Bachupally. In the girls category, 1st position was achieved by Vitti Agarwal, from P Obul Reddy Public School SSC. In the U18 boys category, Breastroke, 100M, B. Sai Nihar B from Surya the Global School attained 1st position, in the girls category, it was Aastha Singh from Army Public School, Bolarum who won the gold.
To strengthen the community spirit and valued contribution of coaches of SFA has launched an initiative in the SFA Championship Hyderabad, ‘Coach Ki Aawaz’ – an acknowledgement program that aims at recognising the contributions of coaches in nurturing the youth of today and helping them develop relevant skills which helps to expedite the process of continuous learning and progressing. As part of the initiative, coaches of every medal winner will be felicitated for their contribution for individual sport as well as team sports.
