JK Tyre Himalayan Drive 8 flagged-off with ceremonial celebration


~ Twenty Two qualifying teams including Seven All Ladies teams from all over the country will take part ~

Siliguri : The eighth edition of the JK Tyre Himalayan Drive Supported by Experience Bengal & GTA, was ceremonially flagged-off by North Bengal Police Chief Devendra Prakash Singh along with Siliguri Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, from the City Center in Siliguri on Wednesday (March 23) afternoon. With the police band playing popular marching tunes, the flagging-off ceremony drew large crowds of onlookers.

JK Tyre who has been at the forefront of promoting motorsport across the country has been supporting this event and has been the title sponsor ever since its inception. Just Sportz Management Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the National Sports Federation approved by Govt. of India proposes to run the Himalayan Drive 8 (HD 8) from 23rd-27th March, 2022. Himalayan Drive has been a premier competitive TSD (Time-speed-distance) Car Rally that has already completed seven successful editions in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. With the active support of West Bengal Tourism & other Govt. departments, the rally has been able to showcase North Bengal as a premier destination for Adventure Sports in the country. Himalayan Drive 8 will also form the Grand Finale of the Indian National Regulatory Run Championship (INRRC), 2021.
