Grameen Foundation inspired women for self-employment through street play

The main objective of the event was to create visibility of the initiative/ org. amongst the target audience, also to mobilize women entrepreneurs.

WEE-Go team under the aegis of Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI) organized a mobilization event through Nukkad Natak on 20 Oct. 22 in the Local market of Mayur Vihar Phase 3, Delhi -96. The main objective of the event was to create visibility of the initiative/ org. amongst the target audience, also to mobilize women entrepreneurs.

The event started with a brief introduction about GFSI and WEE-GO continued by Nukkad Natak. Play revolved around agenda of the project and covered every aspect. On the beats of tambourine with cheerful faces the natak started by a loud moving call song to pull audience from each lanes. Natak team performed with great energy and enthusiasm. IEC materials like charts, banners, and posters were used with pamphlet distribution for a better reach. Promotion of audience’s participation was ensured by giving placards to them and sharing their view on mentioned words.

An environment was created by ongoing dialogue where target audience shared their challenges, need and aspirations. They were informed how GFSI will assist in linking their businesses with external resources (e.g organizations, funding, technical assistance) to aid them in their efforts to grow. They inquisitively participated in interaction and showed interest in being a part of our program/project.

The event ended successfully with active participation of the WEE-GO & Nukkad Natak team and community people.
